Design Fribourg

On the occasion of Arturo Mora’s visit to Switzerland, where he will be teaching a Metallic Lustre course in our studio during the Pentecost weekend (7–8–9 June 2025), Design Fribourg is pleased to invite him to present his work and technique in a lecture that will take place on:

– Wednesday, 4 June 2025
– at 7:00 p.m.,
– at L’Atelier (Place de Notre-Dame 16, 1700 Fribourg).
The lecture will be followed by a light dinner and aperitif.

Arturo Mora, descendant of a family of ceramists from Manises (Spain), has inherited the tradition of ceramic lustre. This technique, originating from 9th-century Persia, is still used in contemporary ceramics. Arturo Mora has received numerous awards for his outstanding work in this field. His great-great-grandfather, in the 19th century, was the first in the family to dedicate himself to metallic lustre earthenware.
