Ependes/FR is located 8 km south of Fribourg in Switzerland, a bus runs from Fribourg station in 19 minutes.
Coming from the north (Bern):
Exit the highway at Fribourg-nord and head towards Schoenberg and Bern, cross the Poya bridge and just after, follow the direction to Marly and Bulle. Completely cross Marly and leave the main road on the right, after a long climb through the forest. Pass through Sales.
Coming from the north and west (Payerne):
t’s a bit complicated, pass by Avry centre, the Matran highway junction, Hauterive-Posieux. At the level of the Gravière de la Tuffière, leave the road on the left for Arconciel, cross the Sarine. Upon arriving in Arconciel, go up to the top of the village, then turn left.
Coming from the south (Vevey, Lausanne):
Exit the highway at Rossens and continue towards Fribourg. At the level of the Gravière de la Tuffière, leave the road sharply to the right and then cross the Sarine. Upon arriving in Arconciel, go up to the top of the village, then turn left.
In Ependes, you will find the pottery 50m from the church and the school, below, towards the observatory.
