Throwing week

This course is for people who would like to learn, or progress and perfect the technique of throwing on the potters wheel. This ancestral technique is unique for forming a malleable material. As fascinating as it is difficult, it requires valuable and often ignored basic knowledge to progress more easily, however repeated exercise is essential to master it, like:

• preparing and recycling your clay correctly
• centering effectively on the potter’s wheel
• manufacturing exercises, from basic shapes to more complex parts.

Each participant has a personal wheel during all the course and will be followed at his level.

Duration: approximately 40 hours, Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 12.00 pm, precise work program and individual follow-up, the afternoon the workshop is free for personal work in turns until 6.00 pm, and if desired a session of enamelling to be defined individually
Cost: CHF 780.-
Material and firing: throwed clay included, fired pieces according to the current price per kilo
Participants: minimum 5-8
