Design Fribourg<\/a><\/h1>\n

On the occasion of Arturo Mora’s visit to Switzerland, where he will be teaching a Metallic Lustre course<\/a> in our studio during the Pentecost weekend (7\u20138\u20139 June 2025), Design Fribourg<\/a> is pleased to invite him to present his work and technique in a lecture that will take place on:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 Wednesday, 4 June 2025
\u2013 at 7:00 p.m.,
\u2013 at L\u2019Atelier<\/a> (Place de Notre-Dame 16, 1700 Fribourg).
The lecture will be followed by a light dinner and aperitif.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arturo Mora<\/a>, descendant of a family of ceramists from Manises (Spain), has inherited the tradition of ceramic lustre. This technique, originating from 9th-century Persia, is still used in contemporary ceramics. Arturo Mora has received numerous awards for his outstanding work in this field. His great-great-grandfather, in the 19th century, was the first in the family to dedicate himself to metallic lustre earthenware.
